Dechra Veterinary Products is a business unit of Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC.

Arnolds’ pharmaceutical division was renamed Dechra Veterinary Products in October 2005 in order to:

• Build a stronger presence for the Dechra brand in the veterinary market.
• Ensure a cohesive and integrated global perspective for the Dechra brand in all its key companion animal territories. The group’s operation has been trading under the Dechra name from the outset.
• Differentiate the pharmaceutical business to strengthen its market position and allow it to take advantage of new opportunities.

The introduction of the new Dechra pharmaceutical brand has allowed the company to align its business more completely with the needs of veterinary practices.  Dechra is particularly committed to the levels of support it affords its customers in its key therapy areas.

With its branded range of therapies, Dechra has developed strong expertise in the field of endocrine conditions in companion animals.  Dechra also remains a key provider of equine medicine with a range of market-leading products. The company has licensed and introduced new therapies for treating canine hyperadrenocorticism (HAC), more commonly known as Cushing’s disease, and feline hyperthyroidism in the UK and Europe. 

Dechra develops and delivers products that bring benefits to veterinary surgeons that translate into more effective and more efficient care for their patients and owners.
